VACANCY
EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINE SETTER
We have an immediate vacancy for someone with highly developed skills in setting CNC milling machines. The work is varied with batch sizes ranging from one off’s to a hundred or so.
Pay is conditional on experience (we try to pay people in line with their contribution) but will probably be within the range of £10 to £12 per hour. Prospects for personal advancement are excellent.
We work a 38 hour week: 07.15 to 16.00 with a 30 minute break Monday to Thursday; 07.15 to 12.15 on a Friday.
There is a non-contributory pension scheme after a qualifying period.
The successful applicant MUST
1) Have highly developed skills setting vertical CNC machining centres
2) Be totally reliable and conscientious.
3) Be prepared to work as part of a small team within this family run business.
4) Be able to work with minimum supervision
5) Be able to read an interpret engineering drawings
6) Be able to accurately use measuring equipment
It would be an ADVANTAGE if the successful applicant:
1) Has some experience of setting CNC lathes
2) Can use other, non-CNC, engineering machines
3) Can use industry standard CAD systems
4) Has a recognised engineering qualification
It would be DESIRABLE if the successful applicant:
1) Has some supervisory/management experience
2) Has the drive and ability to progress within BBR Engineering Ltd.
